AN OASIS IN DARLING FOR YOUR DREAM WEDDING DAY
The farm Contreberg was established in the early 1800’s to support passing ships of the then Dutch East Indian Company producing fresh crops and grazing for animals. The farm remained in the Pretorius Versfeld family over the last few decades before the now 352 ha was subdivided and entrusted to the Pretorius family in 2016.
Located a mere 60 km from Cape Town, the endless rolling hills, vineyards, lawns, gardens and hidden paths with several private corners and seating areas proof a timeless and relaxed backdrop for capturing your special moments forever. With the option of a Garden wedding or cosy Barn venue reception, our personal touch will ensure your every need is catered for as you would imagine.
The manor house was built in 1818 and extended in 1888, but partially damaged by a fire in 2018, before completely being restored by 2019.
You can stay in this Cape Dutch Manor house which perfectly blends with modern features for your comfort. The House is nestled in the finely manicured garden surrounded by Oak trees and breath-taking mountain and valley views. The Oregon Pine floors, woodwork, door frames, doors and shutters are carefully kept in its original way and gives this house a special feeling of warmth, comfort, tranquillity, and memories all around, reminding you of the rich history.

The manicured garden has become legendary with wedding couples who wish to have their pictures taken on the farm or use the garden as a venue for your special day.

The farm boasts a wedding-venue capacity of 120 people in the "Old barn", with the rustic feel, yet modern décor touch you have always fantasised of. The venue has a bar, kitchen and cold room facility. Let us help you with selecting your service providers from a list of experienced people and companies to make your dream day seamless.
